COMING UP - OPTIONAL, BUT FUN and EDUCATIONAL EVENTS November 15, 2002 Meet the Chorus Managers International FAM Trip for competing choruses (Hosts ONLY!) |
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met.
Singout, October 5, 2002?
We are asked to take on a singout that South Shore is unable to do. There is a spaghetti Dinner and Singout at St. Gariel Church in Pointe St. Charles on Saturday, October 5, 2002. There are a couple of issues that need to be resolved.
First of all, is our fearless leader available? Second, can we field a balanced chorus for the evening? These two questions will need to be answered on Monday evening.
Please, let Murray Phillips know if you are able to participate.
Boston Common Show, November 2!
November 2, 2002 is the date; we will be performing in the Salvation Army Citadel, on Drummond Street and tickets will be available in a week or so. People are already making requests, by email. It isn't too early to take requests (and cheques!) All seats will be General Admission. We will only have 300 tickets for sale! The others will be Sweet Ads, and pre-ordered.
We will also be preparing a program, so get in touch with your advertisers and get an order.
Fund Raising
Jerry Silverberg has received the orders for those great Chocolate Bars or Chocolate Covered Almonds. Tonight someone will be helping Jerry, and you will be able to get your order.
He is also getting ready to start the Cheese Sale for Christmas. The project will start in October.
Don't forget, a percentage of ALL the sales you make will be accumulated in your account and can be applied to the Fall Forward, costumes, etc.
Learn that Music!
We got another Learning Device with the songs for November 2. It is expected that we will be off the paper for the 8 part songs by next week. Let's do it!
We are going to be learning a total of 13 new songs in the next six months. We can do it, and do it right!

The Transportation Committee
is responsible for the effective functioning of the shuttle bus system, the chorus bussing, co-ordinate transportation for judges, risers, special requests, and do it so that no one notices that it is being done. The committee works with the transportation provider to make sure that there are sufficient busses to move the delegates to and from the Bell Centre, the Queen Elizabeth Hotel (HQ) and the other official hotels.
They also work with the Tours Co-ordinator, making sure that the people who should be on the tour get on, and get off.
The Chairman of the Transportation Committee is Shane Neville.
All volunteers who wish to see any part of the contests MUST purchase a registration package.
Registrants (before January 1, 2003) will pay $100.00 US. Use the web link to register.

If you are wondering, "What did I sign up for?" or "Did I sign up yet?" or even "Where do I sign up?" Here is the answer. Steve Wheaton has a list, and will be pleased to put you in a spot where you will feel comfortable. See him tonight!
Set up those risers, Baris & Tenors.
Please lend a hand where you can. This week we are back at Église St-Sixte.!
