It seems like car-pooling would be an effective way to get there, or take the Metro.

West Island Chronicle story this week.

The West Island Chronicle ran the International Convention story in the Wednesday, May 7th Issue. Jeffery Mance was the photo feature. The article referred to "teams," e.g. the team from Texas. Maybe it is a new sport.

There is another publication by the same company, The West End Chronicle, and we will be likely getting an article in there as well..

May 23 Singout confirmed.

Stan Blicker has firmed up the singout for Friday, May 23, 2003 in the evening. We can get $300, with another $100 to maybe $150, either towards the cost of parking, or, if we meet at the church and carpool for some extra fee for the chorus.

They expect us to sing for no more than 20-25 minutes. There will probably be around 150 people there.

International Pins now on sale!

Get your souvenir lapel pin for the 2003 International Convention. They are on sale for $7.50 CDN or $5.00 US. This is going to be a major fundraiser for the Chapter, and Ron Schurman has already sent out letters to the Presidents of all NED Chapters, encouraging them to send in orders. Replies are already coming in.

If you need a pin, or will be going somewhere that you can sell some of these pins, ask Ron Schurman, Murray Phillips, or Steve Wheaton for some. The money we raise will be very helpful in financing the extras we want to do during the Convention.

Quartetting,etc.

Stan Kido is trying to get more of us up singing in smaller groups. This week the songs are:
Orange Coloured Sky, Witchcraft and Old Black Magic.

Missing Children's Network Walk of Hope

The Missing Children's Network Canada, in collaboration with CJAD/MIX 96, is proud to announce that its annual Walk of Hope will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2003.

Pledge forms are available from Alan MacKenzie.

International News (8 weeks to go)

Last Thursday evening, the Co-Chairmen met with the Volunteer Services, Competitor Services and Registration Chairmen to assign volunteers to the various committees. We intend to notify all volunteers of their job, and when and where to meet. With less than eight weeks left we are on schedule. We will have a great Convention!

Last weekend concluded the Quartet qualifications and we now know which quartets have qualified, and when they will be singing.
