    for the Northeastern District's Fall 2010
     District Convention & Contests!
     
    ALL individuals attending the Convention must purchase a Registration.
    Yes, that includes friends, family, and local visitors.

    The Events for the District Convention are:
     - Friday Evening Quartet Semi-Finals Contest
     - Saturday Morning/Afternoon Chorus Finals Contest
     - Saturday Evening Quartet Finals Contest & Show of Champions

    Registrations are available for "All-Events" and also for "Single Events."
    Single Events Registrations are only available for non-competitors.

    Each individual attending the convention must register for the CONVENTION...this gets you a badge.
    Badges must be presented to appear on stage, or enter the auditorium as a spectator.
    The only fee you will be charged is the fee to attend the Convention, there is no fee for competing.

    Conventions & Contests
    The Northeastern District has Conventions in the Spring and Fall of each year.
     
    Spring Conventions & Contests
    The contest cycle in the Northeastern District begins in the Spring. 

    There are five Divisions in the NED:

    Each Division has its own Chorus and Quartet contest.  
    Each year, on a rotating basis, 2 Divisions will join for a Regional Convention
    All Choruses and Quartets are invited to participate in the spring contests. 
    The spring contests are used to qualify to sing in the Fall District Contest.
    Additional Contests are held in conjunction with a Division Contest:
    • International Quartet Qualification (held at one of the single Division conventions)
    • Seniors Quartet contests are held in conjuction with Division Contests.
    • College Quartets compete in Division contests.
    Fall District Convention & Contests
    The Contest cycle culminates in the Fall with:
    • District Chorus & Quartet Championship
    • Chorus International Qualification
    • Seniors Quartet International Qualification
