I am very pleased to report that the NED Standing Ovation program is back in the very capable hands of Joe Kopka. Joe started and ran the program here in NED for the past many years, and after a year of semi-retirement Joe has agreed to pick the reins back up full time.
The Standing Ovation program will give you feedback on all aspects of any show or singout that you care to have evaluated. From the venue setup to the scripting to the lighting and sound to the show flow to the audience conditions, the Standing O evaluation hits it all. (But don't worry, this does seek to coach or critique your singing!) The evaluation can help you tweak and improve your show so that the end result will be what every performer wants - a Standing Ovation!
Standing O evaluations are available to any chorus or quartet in the NED who requests them.
How much does this cost you? NOTHING! This is a service provided to you at no charge by the District. The only thing we ask is that you provide a ticket to the show for the evaluator (and his or her spouse if they also attend). The District takes care of the evaluator's expenses.
To request a Standing O evaluation, contact Joe Kopka at CapnJoeK@aol.com with the date, time and place of your performance and he will make sure someone is assigned to review it for you.
