A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.
The compliments keep coming.
Hello Murray, Steve and friends,
Just yesterday John Schneider hosted our Montreal post-mortem meeting. We said lots of things and shared Montreal experiences. One of the constant comments was about the exceptional work done by the over the top "local" convention committee and the terrific team of volunteers you recruited and trained. Will you please pass these comments on to you multitudes of "doers" and most certainly to your very involved and invaluable spouses.
Not for just your work in visualizing this event and planning its success, but moreover for your hands-on way of being in Montreal... we say thank you so very much. We know of the very special way you each stepped up, all year long and certainly all week long.
On behalf of all of us here in "Kenosha" (who usually get the credit or the blame)... know that your convention has all the markings of going down as one of our best ever. Thanks for making us all look so good.

July 17 : (Kipp Buckner)
Rob's wife Sue called me tonight to update me on what is taking place. It seems that the chemo is actually NOT doing what it was supposed to do. His body is not reacting the way that we had hoped. The cancer is moving very fast and it is now covering his entire spine according to the MRI done today. The doctors here have stated that it is only a matter of time and all they can do is "make him comfortable."
This is very devastating news. Sue and Jim are contacting a hospital in Houston that is supposed to be the best at treatments for cancer so we still have some hope that we can find some other treatments that can help Rob. This is a dire situation but prayers are always welcome and we are not without hope and faith that God CAN heal if it is indeed in His plan for Rob.
Once again, we can not say enough about the overwhelming support that we have received from everyone. God bless all of you.
Plattsburgh Picnic - July 27, 2003
The officers and members of the Cumberland Bay Chorus extend an invitation to join them at their Annual Chapter Picnic.
Their chapter will furnish hotdogs and hamburgers, buns (they’ll have a special Michigan sauce) and soda. (If you prefer other beverages feel free to bring them. You are responsible for appropriate sharing.) New York State law prohibits the chapter from offering alcoholic beverages. The chapter will also furnish condiments, plastic tableware, cups plates and napkins. Everyone attending is asked to bring a dish or desert to share, and an ice chest and ice for food storage. For planning purposes they need to know, by Friday July 18, how many will be attending.
