If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Mondial Choral sound check June 21.

So far, we don’t have a definite time for the sound check on the main stage at la Centre de la nature, this Wednesday. If I had to guess (which I do, right now) I would say 5:00 PM will be the time, but don’t hold me to it.

We will hear from President Bert during business what time we will need to be there.

This is another exciting opportunity for us to share barbershop with a "new" audience. The chances are good that there will be a few repeat customers from last year, but if we get to sing for 90,000 plus people again this year, we want to do it well. We know we can, and we will!

Recording Tonight.

Thanks for arriving at 7:00 PM, so we can start recording promptly at 7:30 PM. We have seven songs to do tonight, so an early start is essential.

Our first go, two weeks ago, gave us 5 songs in the process, so this may be a tiring night. A good sleep would be helpful, before, but we know we’ll get a good one after.

Here are the songs from the show, and the ones we have recorded [The numbers indicate the order we will follow.]

1. Tonight G

Beautiful Dreamer

3. Exactly Like You

4. Que reste-t-il ?#

Orange Colored Sky

2. What Child is This / Child of the Poor

5. Give My Regards to Broadway

Chances Are

Hush-a-Bye Mountain

7. Before the Parade Passes By

6. The Impossible Dream

Membership Scoreboard

New members = 2 Members in process = 0 Current = 33

Last week:

Guests = 4

Returning = 0

Follow ups = 1

Well, our Guest Night wasn’t exactly a raving success, but we did have four guests. Three were of the female persuasion (as Radar used to say.) While Les Cowan was interested in listening, he wasn’t ready to sing. As he, himself said, he wasn’t a singer.

We have another guest night scheduled for September 11, and you can start now looking for guests to invite.

Talk to somebody about barbershop this week! Our target for members this year is for a 7 member NET INCREASE by the end of 2006.

Webcast information coming soon

The 2006 international convention is just 2 weeks away. Webcast details coming soon!

Watch your Inboxes this week for complete information on the webcast, including scheduled events and hosts, technical details and pricing.

To overcome some of the problems viewers experienced last year; we're working on a better pre-purchase test environment that will help you determine the optimum stream and viewer for your systems and ISP. We appreciate your patience as we prepare for a successful launch.

This is a repeat message, since the announcement did not come last week!
