"A Night to Remember" is Saturday!

The show is this Saturday. Please arrive at Salle Pierre Mercure and be ready to sing on stage before 1:00 PM. We have to be warmed up, rehearsed and off stage before 3:00 PM. Vocal Spectrum and Ardesco will have their mic check between 3:00 and 4:00. We will have a light supper (thanks to Addie Tauchner-Wheaton.) and the show will start at 8:00 PM)

Bert Brossoit wants your ticket money. Please give Bert any unsold tickets. Murray Phillips wants your ad money.

Bob Ebers got us some good publicity, and there is more to come. Let’s hope we will see a boost in ticket sales. Keep talking to people about the show. We need to money, the audience and the excitement!

We have budgeted to make a profit on this year’s show – something we haven’t done for the past four years. Talk up our show with your friends and acquaintances. Tickets are $25.00 each.

Parking is difficult!

Remind your friends and ticket buyers that parking around the Centre Pierre Peladeau can be difficult. If they can take the Metro, that is a perfect way to travel.

The parking for us isn’t a big problem, since we arrive early. You do need to have change, or a credit card to pay for your parking at the exit.

Program is nearly complete.

The show program is nearly "put to bed," and we have some good information. Thanks to the few that contributed ads. Those that didn’t… you have tonight to bring them in.

Alan Kenley and Murray Phillips put it all together.

Look for the new photo of the chorus. It is now on the chorus web site at http://www.nedistrict.org/montreal/.

Songs for the Show

We will be singing these songs on the show, and in this order. Make sure that you have a copy of the list and know what song comes where and what the first words are.

It doesn’t look very professional to be asking, "What comes next?"

Plattsburgh Show with Men In Black.

A small contingent of Montrealers attended the Plattsburgh show Saturday evening. The Plattsburgh Chorus is singing better than in the past, and have qualified for District this fall. Steve Wheaton is lending his voice to their bass section, and his contribution is very welcome.

The show featured the Champlain Valley Sweet Adeline Chorus as well as chapters quartets. The audience were very supportive, and enjoyed their contributions to a very entertaining evening.

The cream of the NED was the guest quartet. Men In Black were in fine form and absolutely crushed several of their songs. "Always" in particular had the hair standing up all over my body through out. Men In Black are going into the International Contest ranked in the top 20. This is the first time in many years that NED has had a quartet in that position.

The Cumberland Bay Chorus certainly did a marvellous job selling advertising. Their program was loaded with ads from every kind of business in the area. We need to find out their secret!

If you didn’t make the short trip to Plattsburgh, you missed a great evening.
