The Top Drawer Four (TD4) has entertained audiences all over the Northeast and beyond, including annual concerts at the Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H.; the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph, Vt.; and the Children’s Hospital in Boston. In addition, they have sung in Harmony Society contests from Skowhegan, ME. To Montreal, Quebec, and a large number of stops along the way. Among the many awards the quartet has garnered are the Granite and Pine Division Novice Championship, the Division Quartet Championship, and Northeastern District (NED) Senior Quartet Championship. In 2002 and 2004 they represented the NED at the Society’s International Senior Quartet Contests in Riverside, CA. and Biloxi, MS.
Little did they know in 1982 when the quartet was formed that they would still be actively singing, performing and ringing chords 24 years later. Few quartets stay together that long and the TD4 continue to make a mark in the history books of the Harmony Society.
Ron Higgins, the tenor is from Springfield, VT; Harold Laros, the lead lives in Lebanon, N.H.; Gary Richardson, the bass is from Amsden, VT. and Ron Keenhold, baritone, lives in Hanover, N.H. All four members of the TD4 are proud members of the North Country Chordsmen and have served the Hanover Chapter in many of the various administrative positions. |
