The New Sound
Assembly Chorus is part of the world's largest amateur singing
society, with over 800 chapters and 33,000 members. The society has
three tiers. Local chapters form divisions, the divisions form regional
districts, and 16 districts compose the national society.
Each tier has annual competitions. Chapter quartets and choruses may
compete in divisional contests. Division winners can compete in their
district's competition, and district winners may compete in the
society's annual convention for the titles "International Quartet
Champion" or "International Chorus Champion" for the year. These
activities provide members with a base for fun, fellowship and
competition.
