A LOT OF INFO

 

   Because I will not be here for the next two weeks, I am trying to dispense as much information to you as possible. Recently the music team and the E-Board  approved  the following  regulations for chapter members to qualify to sing on stage in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. in the fall..

   FIRST, members are expected to attend 8 of the last 10 Wednesday rehearsals plus 2 of the 4 extra rehearsals,  one Saturday coaching session and three Mondays. The Saturday session is mandatory for members.

   SECOND, All members must submit a tape of the contest songs to their section leader. The songs are “ Old Fashioned Girl” and  “When It’s Night Time In Dixieland”

   THIRD, Only members competing will be transported on the bus at chapter expense. All others may  purchase the left over seats, the same as spouses and other guests at the prevailing  price to be set by the E-Board. 

CALENDAR

WEDNESDAY, August 6:Free singing lessons from 6:30 to7:30 pm with DAN WASHINGTON. 

AUGUST 8 to10: Harmony College Northeast at Fitchburg State College. 

SUNDAY, AUGUST 10: We are performing at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester at 7pm. The uniform  will be the blue Northshoremen shirts, khaki pants, with black shoes and socks. 

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13: Again free singing lessons, with DAN WASHINGTON from 6:30 to7:30pm. 

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20:  Free singing lessons with DAN SIGNOR from 6:30 to 7:30pm. 

AUGUST 6,13,and 20: Coaching sessions with both Danny’s. 

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST  27:T he annual end of summer bash being held by the Nashua Chapter, one of the great events in the barbershopping year. Wear the traveling uniform.  

WEDNESDAY,  SEPTEMBER 3: Open house and guest night. All members should arrive on time in uniform. The blue Northshoremen shirt, khaki pants, black shoes and  socks

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6: All day coaching session from 9 to 4 and lunch  will be served by chef  Henry. 

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7: Chapter picnic at Lynch Park, in Beverly.  

A REMINDER!  Please check your chapter mail box and look for the new music worksheet.
