 GOOD LUCK, CHARLIE!

For those chapter members who are not aware, one of our members has suffered a medical setback. Charlie Crawford underwent  heart bypass surgery and evidently came through alright, but later suffered a stroke and is paralyzed on his left side. We hope and pray the good Lord will help Charlie overcome his problems. For newer members, Charlie is one of God’s nicer people and a long time member of the Northshoremen. Our prayers go out to him and his family!

CALENDAR  CHANGES AND TIMES

JUNE 30th to JULY 7th  the international convention in Portland, OR.

MONDAY, JULY 22nd  We are scheduled to perform at the summer series in Danvers, MA.. Scheduled singing time is 6:30 pm.

SUNDAY, JULY  28th  performance at Stage Fort Park in Gloucester, MA, with a singing time of 7:00 pm.

On THURSDAY, AUGUST 15th  we are performing on the Beverly Commons starting to sing at 6:00 pm

FRIDAY, AUGUST  23rd we will return to the Methodist church in Rockport, MA. for a 7:00 pm engagement, and yes, this is the same place we sang last year in the dark by flashlight. The Methodist church is on Broadway, next to the town hall.

Please, remember that we will most probably be asked to arrive at the performances earlier than the singing times reported, and  all of these are paid performances for the chapter.

Another date to keep in mind is the weekend of MARCH  14th to 16th  2003 when the Northshoremen will be hosting the spring prelims in Peabody, MA. Our own Leon Pelletier  volunteered to be drafted as chairman of the event, so if he should tap you on the shoulder, he is asking for your assistance for some small task. Please say YES!  Leon will be very happy.
