 TO OUR GUESTS, WELCOME!

We, the Northshoremen, are extremely happy to have you with us this evening so that we may try to show you the joys and camaraderie of singing barbershop harmony. We hope if you have any questions, you will please ask one of us, and if we can’t answer it, we will find somebody who can. If you enjoy this evening it will be our fondest wish that you will continue to visit with us in the future. Again, we say to you, WELCOME, each and every Wednesday.

PLEASE BE A SINGER BRINGER!

Remember, we are all members of the membership committee.

CHAPTER  CALENDAR:

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4th The AL POOLE jamboree. Please, check the chart and try to contact some of the absent  members

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14th Our annual high school quartet super bowl at the Higgins Middle School  in Peabody. Jack Dowd tells us we have eleven quartets that have signed up to sing. It promises to be a real great time with everyone's co-operation.

VERY IMPORTANT:  MONDAY, DECEMBER  2nd  Last E-Board meeting  this year. This is the meeting where both the present and next year's incoming board members should be attending. All chapter members are invited to attend  also.

2003  CALENDAR:

JANUARY 10th to 12th Cots school in Falmouth for incoming chapter officers and anyone else who would be interested.

SATURDAY, JANUARY  18th Tentative date for a special coaching session. Maybe, with  STEVE JAMISON again.

MARCH 14th to 16th We are hosting the spring pre-lims at the Peabody High School.  Our own LEON PELLETIER is the chairperson of this event and will need all of us in the chapter to make this event a huge success. This is also our chapter spring contest where we sing to qualify for next year's district contest. If Leon should tap you on the shoulder, just say, YES I CAN HELP.

SATURDAY, MAY 10th The date of our annual show which provides the major portion of the funds needed to operate the chapter for the year. Now is not too late to start selling ads or for getting our ticket list in order. This year's feature quartet are the FREELANCERS, who are ranked thirteenth at this years international convention.

AN  OBSERVATION  FOR 2002 AND BEYOND: We, as a chorus still have several new songs to learn, but we cannot proceed to them if we are still trying to correct last year's songs. With spring competition and our annual show on the near horizon,  it behooves all of us to study our tapes and music. One of  the problems we face is that    Christmas and New Year's both  fall on Wednesday. We are also loosing one half of a rehearsal on December 4th for the AL POOLE jamboree. This really shortens up our time on the learning curve.
