The Top Drawer Four

"Your's For A Song"

In April 2000 the Top Draw Four entered into their eighteenth year as a registered, performing quartet.  Although the hair is thinner or more gray, the enthusiasm is still there.

The Top Drawer Four is well know in the Northeast, singing in numerous shows,  parties, Church and other civic events and in their own chapter and other SPEBSQSA chapter's annual shows.  Several appearances, however, stand out in their long history of barbershopping.  An appearance in the North Country Community Theater's production of the "Music Man", concerts at the Chandler Music Hall, and annual appearances at the Mt. Washington Hotel & Resort in Bretton Woods,  NH,  for the past six years are just a few of their many memorable performances.


 

Besides their singing in close harmony, the quartet has another common distinction.  They are all "grandpas" and sometimes considered changing the quartet name to
"The Top Drawer Gramps".

The quartet personnel has remained the same.
Lead
 Harold Laros, the Lead singer,  is a mortgage broker and has been a Barbershoper since 1976. He is a Lebanon,  NH resident and quite active in community affairs. He was the baritone in the original quartet and switched to Lead when a personnel change was made.
Tenor
 Ron Higgins who sings tenor, was a member of the Sugarhouse Four quartet and has been a barbershopper for over 15 years.  Ron is a maintenance supervisor at Mack Molding Co and is a resident of Springfield, VT. where he and his wife Barbara, raise German Shepherds.
Bari
 Ronnie Keenhold sings the Baritone part, or the part that no else wants, was once the Lead in the quartet. A graduate of Lehigh University, Ron is now retired as the swimming & diving coach at Dartmouth College. Ron was an original member of the Montshire Chordsmen Chorus.
Bass
 Gary Richardson is the Bass, and according to Gary, adds stability to the quartet.  "Boomer" is the retired plant manager at Mack Molding Co., and a member of the House of Representatives in VT. Gary, is also the spokesman for the quartet and lives in Amsden, VT.
