Biographies
Jerry Easter (Dean) Central States District (Iowa). Jerry sings bass with Waterloo, Iowa (Proud Image) and Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Harmony Hawks). He has been a COTS faculty member since 1976 and has held all chapter offices, CSD President (1979), and IBM (1980-81). He is a Certified Chapter Counselor. His awards include International Bulleting Editor of the Year (1975), PROBE VP/Bulletin Editor of the Year (1982), Central States District Hall of Fame (1992). He is a retired Senior Service Representative with John Deere and is now owner of Custom Video Productions in Waterloo, Iowa. EasterJD@msn.com
M. Gene Courts (Presidents) Johnny Appleseed District (Ohio). Gene is a member of the Western Hills Chapter, Southern Gateway Chorus. He has been on the COTS faculty since 1971 (Program VPs 1971-75 and Presidents 1995-present). He has held offices: Chapter - Secretary, President, Board Member; District Vice President, Executive VP, President 1975-76 and 1993-94; Society International Board Member 1977-78 and 1995-96, Society Board Member 1998-2000. Honored as JAD Barbershopper of the Year and the JAD Hall of Fame. Currently Vice-Chair for Coaching & Performance Evaluations on the Society Music & Performance Committee and a member on the Society and Harmony Foundation Investment Advisory Committee. mgcourts@fuse.net
Thomas R. (Tom) Herman (Secretaries) Land OLakes District (Wisconsin). A member of the Greendale Chapter, Tom originally sang with MenoHARmonee. He is a chapter board member and has been Treasurer, Secretary, and Show Treasurer. He was awarded the Greendale "Do-It-Award" and the "President's Award". Tom has been District Secretary 2 years. John Santora (Treasurers)
Mid-Atlantic District (New Jersey). Joined the Society in 1977 and a member of Patapsco Valley where he was BOTY in 1983. John is a CPA and Chairman of the Society Joint Audit Committee. He is currently CFO of the Baltimore County Public Library System. John is Past President of the Scarborough Dukes of Harmony and a member of their Chapter Hall of Fame. He is a vocal and visual coach, District quartet finalist, and certified Contest administrator. John was Ontario District COTS Coordinator (1996-2002) and was instrumental in revising the Society's COTS Coordinators' Handbook. He was ONT District VP Finance and ONT District Executive Vice-President. jsantora@mac.comGary Denton (Chapter Development) - Cardinal District (Indiana). Sings with Kokomo, Indiana chapter (1982) and sang with Southern Gateway (JAD) in 1998 &1999. COTS faculty (1995-97 & 2000-present). Offices held: Chapter: show chair, program, membership, president, and currently webmaster; Cardinal District: secretary, membership, president, and currently district webmaster; Society: chairman for Marketing & PR (2002-2003), Board member (2004-2006). Terry Jordan (Marketing & PR) - Mid-Atlantic District (Virginia). Terry has been a member since 1965. He has served on the District and Society COTS faculty starting in 1966, two years on faculty for Harmony College and many years on the district's mini-HEP faculty. Many district positions included District PR Officer and the District Bulletin Editor or Co-Ed six years. He served on the Society PR committee and the COTS sub-committee. He is currently a Chapter Counselor. Terry received the Society's Individual PR Award in 1981, was elected to the M-AD honor chapter, DELASUSQUEHUDMAC in 1988 and this year was inducted into the Mid-Atlantic District's Hall of Honor.

joe.jenkins@matrixsys.comDave Leeder (Chorus Directors) Dixie District (North Carolina). A 30-year Society member, Dave is a former Interpretation Judge and a current Presentation Judge. He is a CDWI Trainer and a member of the Board of Review. Dave is a member of the Tarheel Chorus in Greensboro, NC. He has attended 26 Harmony Colleges (7 years as a faculty member) and is an international coach and teacher. Dave has been a special education teacher for 25 years.
LeederdnL@beethoven.comBob Thomas (Young Men In Harmony) - Evergreen District (Oregon). Bob sings with the Mt Baker Toppers and GQ, a gospel quartet. He has been a COTS faculty member since 2004. Bob is a Certified Contest Administrator and a has-been DVP-CJ for EVG. He has held VP-YMIH and VP-M&P offices for two chapters. Bob is an International chorus competitor and District finalist quartet competitor. He is a retired high school teacher that loves running model trains.

Don has been a member since 1999 and is a member of the Overland Park chapter in CSD and sings baritone in a local senior quartet. He has served as Chapter President, as CSD COTS Coordinator and DVP CSLT, and is currently serving on the Society CSLT Committee.
