Your Impact Can Change Young People's Lives
Every Year, Harmony Explosion Camp Northeast continues to be a HUGE success! But for us, we are "forward thinkers" and the idea of Harmony Explosion Camp is something that cannot be missed due to its eye-opening nature and the opportunity for life-changing growth for the young singer, especially in our art form. We NEED to really Encourage our youth. Many are already experiencing barbershop while so many have not yet had the experience of ringing a chord. Naturally, this “youth experience” in turn will help us with the “P”… Preservation of our name "SPEBSQSA".
To be forward with you, in order to succeed this year we need your monetary assistance. Though we received generous donations last year (thank you to those who contributed) our work for this year doesn't stop because of that, we can only grow! We have youth who are in serious financial need, and could use a partial or full scholarship. Even operating the camp itself can be a difficult task, financially, for an organization. We’re grateful and excited to be partnering with Harmony Incorporated, Sweet Adeline’s International, and the Harmony Foundation. They've made a huge commitment; likewise, so should we!
There is a pledge form at the top of this page, for you to complete and send to us as soon as possible. You may mail in a check, or you may also donate online using a credit card above. Please take a moment to consider a personal contribution. Feel free to discuss with your chapter and/or quartet members today about contributing to this incredible cause. We need YOUR help to send at least ONE guy or gal to HXNE. The cost for one person to attend is around $495, but we're trying to keep the actual “camper tuition” cost down to $200 per camper.
Would you pledge at least $200 and support a participant to Harmony Explosion Camp Northeast? For most chapters that would amount to about $20 per member or less! Your chapter will be highlighted as a sponsor for the event. We will also list any individual or quartet as a sponsor if donations amounted to $20 each, or more. PLEASE join us in helping to create the future singers of our rejuvenated NED!
Finally, while financial assistance is a necessity for this type of program, what is equally important is spreading the word to local high school students and their music educators. We are excited about the registration expectancy, but these numbers could significantly increase with the help of everybody in the district. Also, with the addition of the Peer Leader Program, young singers that have aged out of the camp are also invited to take part in the camp festivities with a specific additional opportunity to learn Youth in Harmony leadership skills. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the camp and to be a mentor to the younger participants. Please help us spread the word!
