| HARMONY COLLEGE NORTHEAST |
| The Best Vocal Education Money Can Buy! |
Wow, is Harmony College Northeast going to be exciting this year - a new location, great faculty, new courses and a fantastic Saturday night show to top it all off! HCNE will take place August 7-9, 2009 at Worcester State College.
WSC will be a great facility for us.
-
The campus is very compact - the dorm to the cafeteria/student center building is less than a two minute walk, and from the student center to the classroom building is also less than two minutes.
-
The dorms are all suites with a lounge area and separate bedrooms, and each suite has its own bathroom(s).
-
The food service is fantastic.
-
And here's the best part - the dorms for HCNE and all the classrooms are AIR-CONDITIONED.
WSC is just minutes off of I-290 in Worcester, which is very conveniently accessed from I-90 (the Mass Pike) or from Route 2 via I-190/290.
Of course, there are also many alternate routes in and out of Worcester. We have a couple of exciting guest quartets lined up to be on our faculty and to star on our Saturday Night Show. The first is Bigtime! You may never have heard of them, but you will. Bigtime! is the previous Reveille with a new Bass singer, and they have already qualified for International this summer. And in the quartet is a certified judge in each of the three scoring categories and a career music educator. The second quartet is an AIC all-star quartet that you've never heard of - Gotcha-Tones. This quartet is the Bass (Jim Kline), Bari (Alan Gordon) and Lead (Chris Vaughn) of Gotcha!, with a special guest tenor - the legendary Gene Cokecroft of The Suntones! This is a one-time-only performance that you won't want to miss. And, of course, the Saturday Night Show will also feature the choruses and quartets from the Harmony eXtreme camp as well - and for the first time in NED, there will be a girls camp as well as a boys camp. Again, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity. So mark the dates on your calendars, talk it up, pass this message to your chapters and spread the word - this year's HCNE will be the greatest ever!
We are still working out the pricing and details of the course offerings, so keep checking back on the NED website. I will announce when the registration forms are available.
Hope to see you there!
In harmony, Jim Coates NED VP-Music & Performance
